Breast Implants worth it (to me)

Breast implants are the one type of plastic surgery that would be “worth the risk” to me. I have always been small breasted and felt immense pressure to be more amply endowed. If I had the $5,000 or $10,000 needed, I would get this surgery in a heartbeat!

I have larger breasts naturally and I have to tell you, it’s not all it’s cracked up to be! I spend almost $100 if I want to get a bra that fits properly and doesn’t look like my grandmother bought it. If you get implants, don’t get them too large.

I have a small chest, too. I’m very petite and slim, and I think that a small chest fits my frame better. I don’t think large breasts would look good on me, so I wouldn’t do it. I say go for it if it will make you happy. It’s all about what makes you feel good about yourself.

My family, including me, has larger breasts. Now that I’m older they are extremely saggy. I would like to have surgery to make them perkier because I think they look matronly. My sister has a lot of problems with her back from her large breasts. She has also had a difficult time with finding clothes that fit her and look good. I know she has considered breast reduction surgery. Anyway, large breasts aren’t necessarily all they’re cracked up to be!

I don’t think my chest is really “big” or “small” but somewhere in between. I guess I’m small up top in proportion to the lower half of my body (or either I’m large down below in proportion to the upper half, however you want to look at it) but I don’t feel like the difference is big enough to justify implants. I say go for it if you want it but I wouldn’t do it personally.

I knew a girl in high school that had to get a reduction, she was barely 5′ and she had all sorts of back issues because of it. Keep in mind she was two years younger than me while I was as flat chested as a piece of plywood but that did not matter one bit. After I saw the pain she went through just trying to tie shoes that thought went right out of my head.

I was ‘blessed’/’cursed’ with really large breast which I enjoyed when I was younger, after having two C-Sections, weight gain & steriod injections into my spine {which did not help the pain} and added 30 additional pounds with each injection. NOTHING got rid of that weight so, in 2/1994 I had plastic surgery (a breast reduction & what turned out to be a ‘mini tummy tuck’). I thought I had checked out my doctor well until the day I was allowed to take a shower & my right nipple fell off. I gently wrapped it in gauze, had my neighbor drive me to his office where he tossed it into the trash. Horror, I had allowed Dr. Frankeinstein to work on me. EVERYEXAMPLE in his office of a ‘bad surgeon’ I had. 9/1994 I went to a wonderful Surgeon @ UAB who was an artist as well as a wonderful surgeon. My husband left me due to simply not being able to ‘live with a freak’. I was able to maintain my very comfortable weight [98 – 110] and loved wearing cute clothes until the last year, even thow while hospitalized in 1998 for failing kidneys an x-ray showed ole Frankeinstein left surgical clips inside my tummy [that remain}. A month ago, I saw another plastic surgeon to find out about breast implants along with liposuction for my ever growing belly. He told me I never had a ‘tummy tuck’, ‘loose ten pounds first, then I will liposuction your back, arms, flanks, outer & inner things first, then when you recover I will do an abdominoplasty and a breast implant.” The total cost for this little ‘touch up’ was way out of my ability to pay along with nothing my boyfriend intends to be stuck with so, ‘YES, PLASTIC SURGERY IS MORE THAN WORTH IT TO ME’. The recovery was not nearly as hard as my C-Sections. Lacking the money to have it done again has left me really depressed, I asked for a ‘C’ cup, I never asked to be a boy.
